Wacky Wednesday: People Watching

I have been sitting at Panera bread for the past three hours. Yes, three hours. Why? One, because my brother is in class and I live to far away to go home just to turn around to come back and pick him up. Gas is not cheap my friends. Two, because they have internet and the atmosphere is a lot quieter than that at the school.

I have been working on my book, playing on facebook and hoping that they don’t kick me out for sitting in the store for too long. I cannot wait until the rain stops and the weather is warm so I can sit at their outside tables.

I will say, it is fun to sit in a restaurant and watch people. People watching is so much fun. I have seen some crazy things today too. The worst though, was the chick that came in with her boyfriend (or husband). This chick was crazy!

I will tell you, it has been raining a lot lately so the weather is not exactly nice. It’s cold and wet! This chick walks up into Panera with shorts and a t-shirt on. That isn’t the weird part though. The weird part, the crazy, insane part, is she was wearing this giant, thick coat that came to her knees. The jacket was longer than her shorts! Her legs looked cold too. They had that blotchy red look that your skin gets when it gets a little cold. Was it really so hard to put on a pair of pants?

That wasn’t the last of the weirdness either. After that I didn’t pay much attention until I caught a whiff. Yes, a very nasty smell invading my nose! I looked around trying to find out who forgot to take a bath and I spot him. A very strange looking guy sitting in front of me on his laptop. I figured if he stayed his distance I would have to smell him again. It would have been fine if he had stayed at his seat. He spent more time walking around then he did at his seat. Now, I am not the one to sit and judge someone, but this dude looked like he had not washed his hair in a month! Every time he walked by me I got to smell the killer fragrance that he seemed to have worked so hard to obtain. *gag* Then he left, frantically…

That was all aside from the normal stuff that I see every day. You know, the fairies and gnomes. I have noticed that places where people go in and out a lot there are way more door demons. They sit in the door ways waiting for just the right person to trip. They didn’t get anyone tonight, but I am guessing they were being nice because I was there. They didn’t know me, but they knew I could see them. That usually scares the door demons, until they get to know you, then they like to entertain.

I must retire now. My nose still burns from the foul smell of the human that refuses to wash. And my eyes burn from the fairies sprinkling dust in my eyes. They are trying to get me to change my contacts because it has been a month and they are only supposed to last two weeks. Dang fairies and their killer memories.

Farewell my friends. Tomorrow is a new day with new adventures. Maybe even more people watching.

If the world ended...

How many times have you heard about the end of the world coming? Oh, it's supposed to happen in 2012 cause that is when the Mayan calendar ends. (Personally, I just think that is when the aliens are coming.) Big deal! And the world is supposed to end in fire and brimstone (according to the Christian Bible.) yet there is no time limit.

I usually don't think about it or worry about it really. When the world ends, it ends. That is, if it ends at all. For all we know, the world is going to go on forever. Or we all fly to another planet. I want to go to Pluto (It's still a plane to me!). There is nothing that says the world HAS to die at any given time. Maybe someone is just trying to scare us.

Or make us freak out so they can pick on us. Ha!

The thing is, I have watched the movies. I have seen and heard the theories on how the world ends. I don't have a theory or even any idea. I just take it as it is, but I do know how I want to die if the world ends!

Yeah, this is where this blog is going. If you know me, you should have expected it. If not, welcome to my world!

When the world ends I want to be taken out by a giant wave! Not some wave you can see at the beach. The one like on Deep Impact, only bigger. It takes out states and floods the country. Seriously, how awesome would that be? Think about it, you are just standing there when this massive wave blocks out the sun.

Then

BAM!

It hits you!

Now, usually when I tell people this they think "I don't want to drown!" Think about this, how fast is that wave coming at you? What has that water already picked up?

Buildings, statues, cars, other people, sharp objects.

Chances of you drowning are very slim, because you will probably be crushed by a building, run over by a car, impaled by a flag pole or eaten by a giant monster that no one knew even existed.

Yeah, being taken out by a giant wave and then eaten by an unidentified giant monster would be a pretty awesome way to go out!

P.S. How would you want to go out if the world ended?

What to Do? Oh, what to do!

I made a list of things I want to do before I die. You know, a bucket list. Well, I have 50 items on the list so far! I need to narrow it down to 30 so that I can do a '30 things to do before I'm 30' list. I don't know what 30 to pick! I will list a few that will totally make it to my 30 list.

1. Take a hip hop dance class.
2. Go rock climbing. I plan to start inside then go outside with this one. lol A two parter!

23. Go horseback riding.
24. Learn to cook...possibly take a cooking class.
25. Learn to do my own taxes.
26. Live on my own.
27. Ask a guy out. Face to face
28. Be debt free
29. Design my own clothes.
30. Take a Train somewhere.

Wow...I did it. I made a list of 30 things to do before I am 30! This is going on my wall so I can remember.

So here is how this is going to work, I am going to create a new page here. You can see it in the links at the top of my blog. It will say "My 30". I will blog about my experiences as I have them and if anything changes I will be sure to let you know. This should be fun.
