Myspace

Since when did Myspace become a dating site?? I go for months without even looking at it and I sign on to be bombarded with a ton of friends request. Thinking "Oh, some old friends have found me" only to find out that no, no old friends have found me, its creepy and possibly desperate guys wanting to be my "friend." Yeah, not interested.

I admit, I have my desperate moments and signed up for a free dating site. Then, deleted it about a week later because all the guys were creeps. But, Myspace? Please, guys, at least go to a site that was meant for dating! Seriously, before Facebook, Myspace was the place to keep in touch with friends and to tell all the details of your boring everyday life. Facebook made it easier and Myspace got crowded! And now, desperate, lonely, losers go there to find their next hook up. I like to think I am worth more than a message from a complete stranger! Now, if it was someone I knew sending me a message cause they were shy or something, I will be okay with. Not random strangers that don't even know me.

I am not on Myspace to find a date. I don't even check myspace that often. The only reason I even check is because of the few internet friends that I don't want on my Facebook. Eek, that sounds bad.

Yes, a short rant about Myspace. It's not a dating site. If I wanted to meet guys online I would go back to PlentyofFish or one of those other free dating sites. I am not looking for a hook up. I am looking for an awesome fairy tale romance that starts with eyes locking from across the room. (Hopeless romantic here.) Besides, once you see someone on a picture than see them in person, you may be totally disappointed!

Maybe I should just delete my Myspace account. Yes, yes. Maybe so.
